Chaminade 10 - Lafayette 3

The Red Devils extended their winning streak to 7 games by beating the Lafayette Lancers for the second time in five days. The boys in red come out very flat in the first half and, up until the last minute of the half, were only up 3-1. Admittedly, Chaminade had made the long trek out to Lafayette for four games this weekend and their lack of intensity, although disappointing, was not surprising. I live in the city and making the +40 minute trek was quite taxing even for me. We need to recharge quickly because we have a tough Parkway North team up next.

Things that went right:

  • Second half intensity
  • Second half commitment to defense

Things that went not so right:

  • The first half
  • Communication, especially on defense.

Goals: Arnold - 3, Benage - 2, Meara - 2, Entwistle - 1, Fernandez - 1, Kubik - 1

Assists: Stabler - 3, Kubik - 2, Arnold - 1, Benage - 1, Faust - 1, Hoette - 1, Meara - 1

Steals: Kubik - 6, Benage - 3, Hoette - 2, Stabler - 2, Meara - 1, Watkins - 1

Kickouts: Kubik - 1

Saves: Stabler - 8

Player of the Game: Arnold - 3 goals on 6 shots, 1 assist and sparked our 4th quarter intensity with two quick effort-filled goals

Up Next: Tuesday, April 8th v. Parkway North @ Parkway North. JV at 7:00 PM, Varsity at 8:00PM.
